What We Believe
Scripture Alone
We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, our only source and norm for Christian faith and life.
Grace Alone
Faith in Christ is a gift received solely through God's grace, not by our own works, fulfilling the promise of salvation.
Faith Alone
Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, witnessing his love through service.
A Legacy of Faith
Pilgrim Lutheran Church has been a cornerstone of Essexville for generations, rooted in a deep commitment to the Gospel and the local community. Our journey began in 1942, with a vision to create a place of worship that feels like home, where faith is not just spoken but lived through service and resilience.
Through the years, our congregation has grown, yet our core values remain unchanged. We stand as a testament to the enduring power of faith, weathering challenges with grace and continuing to open our doors to all who seek spiritual growth and compassionate fellowship in the heart of Essexville.
Serving Essexville Together
We believe that faith is best lived out through service to our neighbors. From supporting the Bay Area Food Pantry to participating in the Orphan Grain Train, Pilgrim Lutheran is committed to making a lasting positive impact in Essexville. We invite you to join us as we grow together in grace and community involvement.
